Adult Tennis
Spring and Summer League Activities
We are gearing up for our Ladies Outdoor Spring League teams (matches are played at the Bentley College courts). We field teams at the 3.0 to 4.0 levels. Matches are played either Tuesday or Thursday mornings, with rain backup courts at WAC. Membership is not required and practices are optional.

In May we start the ever popular USTA single gender league play. We field men’s teams for 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0. We field women’s teams for 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0. Again, membership is not required and practices are optional.

Winter League Activities -we field teams in the Central Massachusetts Indoor Tennis League(CMITL) and
the Dorothy Bruno Hill Indoor Tennis League (DBH).


CMITL teams: Woman: A, A1–silver & gold, B & C divisions. Men: A1, B & C divisions. Competitive matches are played on Saturday afternoons. Evening practices are optional. Players may sign up on a weekly basis or may choose to pre-pay for a series of practices. Players must be members of the club to participate in matches per league rules.

Men’s A1 (4.0 +) Mondays, 6:30 – 8:00pm
Men’s B (3.5 +) Mondays, 8:00 – 9:30pm
Men’s C (3.0 +) Thursdays, 6:30 – 8:00pm

Women’s A1 (4.0 +) Mondays, 6:30 – 8:00pm
Women’s B (3.5 +) Tuesdays, 7:30 – 9:00pm
Women’s C (3.0 +) Tuesdays, 6:00 –7:30pm

DBH LEAGUE Teams
We field DBH teams in Division’s II, III, & IV. The season extends from mid October to mid March. Practices are on Monday or Tuesday mornings, and matches are on Wednesday or Thursday mornings. Team members are committed to one practice and one match per week through mid March. Players must be members of the club to participate per league rules.


USTA Mixed Leagues
We field teams at the 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0 levels; match play Friday evenings January through April; Membership is not required

INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS

GROUP CLINICS
Beginner, advanced beginner and intermediate level clinics are offered both day and evening. These clinics are run as 6 week, 1 ½ hour class each week, with a maximum of 5 students. The cost for a member is $192; for a non-member $240. The day and time of these clinics are subject to change. There are no credits or refunds for classes missed.

Beginners
Start your tennis career now! We love having new students in our program! Clinics will introduce students to the basic
strokes and to the elements of the game. This will be a fun introduction to tennis in a relaxed setting.
Monday 9-10:30AM, Tuesday 10:30-12noon and 7:00–8:30PM, Wednesday Thursday 6:30-8PM

Advanced Beginners
This class is for students who have successfully completed the beginner course, or who have had some previous experience.
Get back into the swing of things with us!
Monday 10:30-12noon, Thursday 7:30-9:00PM

Intermediate
This class is for students who have successfully completed the advanced beginner course, or who have had more previous experience.
Monday 7:00-8:30PM

Instructional Round Robin (2.5 – 3.0)
The format for this clinic will be a blend of drills that focus on stroke production and consistency including play that emphasize both singles and doubles strategy. This is a great way for new members to meet other players in the club!
1-½ hours of instruction followed by a ½ hour of play. Member $192, Non-member $240.

ROUND ROBINS & OTHER CLASSES (Sign up through the tennis office).
Monday Madness Mixed Doubles Round Robin Level 3.0 and above, Monday 9:30 – 11:00 Member $8, Non-Member $12

Thursday Mixed Doubles Level 2.5, 12:00 – 1:30 Member $8, Non-Member $12.

Sunday Mixed Doubles Round Robin Level 2.5, 4:30-6:00PM Member $15, Non-member $20.

CARDIO TENNIS
This is an hour long program of fast paced hitting and footwork drills; Tuesday 9:15-10:15, Wednesday 6:30-7:30pm
Member free, Non-member $15.

Stroke of the Week
This is a 1-hour clinic where a particular stroke will be featured. The stroke will change week to week. Participants will hit a lot of balls and get a lot of work on proper footwork and shot placement. Students should have a minimum of a 3.0 rating to participate. Weekly sign-up. Cost: $22/member $30/non-member

Pro on Duty
This clinic is a weekly sign-up at the front desk. This program is for advanced beginners and intermediate players.
Cost: $20/member, $26/non-member
